Born at Kemnay in Aberdeenshire but raised in Coupar Angus in Perthshire, Adam Rennie formed his band in 1949 and played the highest quality strict tempo Scottish country dance music. This is the second volume of Rennie recordings we have released. The first (LEGACY01CD) features a selection of his Parlophone tracks from 1951 to 1956. This second CD features 20 of his PYE-Nixa tracks from 1956 and to this we have added 4 bonus tracks. The Bonus tracks are further Parlophone recordings which were unavailable at the time Volume One was issued. We hope that you will listen to and enjoy the music of Adam Rennie and his Scottish Dance Quartet.
