Ross Records is a family company owned by Gibson and Ann Ross and is based in the town of Turriff in North East Scotland. We have been producing recordings of Scottish Traditional Music Since 1979 and have, since that time, released more than three hundred audio albums and singles. In recent years we have also produced more than thirty DVDs of Scottish Traditional Music and Scenery. All our DVDs are made in two separate formats PAL and NTSC. The latter format is mainly used in North America, The Caribbean and Japan and the PAL format is used in most of the rest of the world including the United Kingdom, The Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the majority of European countries.
Our Own Label catalogue currently consists of nearly ninety compact discs and more than thirty DVDs. We also still have some of our own label cassettes and videos left
In addition to handling our Own Label recordings we also have a vast range of other Scottish, Irish, Country and Easy Listening CDs and DVDs, these are gradually being added to our web site. Over a period of time the web site will have many thousands of such items...
We also host an annual music concert, "Saturday Night At The Auld Meal Mill". This is an evening of Scottish Traditional Music, Song and Dance held in the Music Hall, Aberdeen . The show is now is in its 28th consecutive year and has been a showcase for the many artists and groups that have recorded for Ross Records during that time.
